Zazachat is a monetized review publication. The one-line note in our footer — "We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Sponsored placements are labeled." — points here. This is the full version, written plainly.
Affiliate links
Some of the links to the tools we review are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, we may earn a commission from the vendor — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships help fund the hands-on testing behind our reviews.
Which vendors we have an affiliate relationship with does not determine who we cover or how they rank. We test and rank tools we have no relationship with, and we are willing to rank a non-affiliate above an affiliate when the testing says so.
Sponsored and featured placements
We sometimes run paid placements. When we do:
- The placement is clearly labeled — for example, "Sponsored" or "Featured Partner."
- It is set apart in its own slot, visually separated from the organic ranked list.
- It is never presented as the number-one ranked pick of an editorial list.
What payment does not buy
This is the important part. Payment — whether an affiliate commission or a sponsorship — does not buy:
- A higher ranking or a better SupportScore.
- The removal of criticism or of unflattering test results.
- Editorial control over the words in a review.
Ranking order follows the criteria on our How we test page. The rules we hold ourselves to are set out in our editorial policy.
Why we disclose this
We would rather tell you exactly how the site makes money than pretend it runs on goodwill. It is not a pay-to-win list, and it is not an ad-free charity. Knowing which links may earn us a commission — and which cards are paid — lets you weigh our recommendations with clear eyes.
